Individual Donors Program

The main responsibility of the GIS-RS Specialist is to provide geospatial services specifically for the Blue Forest Project and will also support other WWF projects across the country and/or region.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist projects in identifying geospatial requirements, recommending GIS solutions, technical applications, and necessary budget allocations. Specifically, support Blue Carbon stock assessment by mapping mangroves and seagrasses, analyzing carbon storage, monitoring habitat changes,, and developing spatial plans for conservation and restoration.

2. Capture ground-based primary data using tools such as GPS (global positioning system) devices, mobile data-collection applications, key informant interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and other field methodologies to support accurate GIS analysis and mapping.
