DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES, SOCIAL SCIENCES, AND THE ARTS

POSITION SUMMARY:

The program coordinator is responsible for supporting faculty in the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (HSA) in their work as academic advisors and in their use of digital technologies in their teaching. Secondarily, the position shares some duties with the department’s administrative coordinator, who has primary responsibility for a range of financial and administrative tasks relating to the day-to-day operations of the department, faculty searches, and special events. Every student at Harvey Mudd must complete the HSA program in addition to the College’s core requirements and major requirements. Because of this, the program coordinator interfaces with a large number of Harvey Mudd students seeking to navigate our course offerings.
