Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Overview

Immediate start – full‑time English Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at a specialist SEN school in Wiltshire, supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH and behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned English interventions and small group sessions
• Support students within English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement in English
• Provide targeted support to pupils with ASC and behavioural needs
• Assist with lesson planning, preparation and assessment as required
• Promote positive behaviour and help students achieve individual goals

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience supporting English in a secondary school setting
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs is highly desirable
