About the Role
Suncor seeks a High-Voltage T&D Engineer to ensure the safe operation of our power systems in Fort McMurray. Focus on real-time operations and compliance management.
In this senior role, you will be responsible for monitoring high-voltage T&D systems and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. With over 12 years of relevant experience and a P. Eng. designation, you will guide operational decisions and analyze system risks. Your knowledge of T&D assets and electrical safety practices will be vital in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess real-time system performance
• Identify and report system risks during reviews
• Communicate T&D operating limits and instructions
• Prepare and review documentation for planned outages
• Conduct root-cause analyses and performance assessments
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 12+ years of experience in an industrial setting
• P. Eng. designation required
