About the Role

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in the planning, setup and execution of geotechnical field investigations for transportation and infrastructure projects.

  • Conduct asphalt and concrete coring operations
  • Observe and report geotechnical conditions from borehole drilling and assess subgrade conditions
  • Observe and record site conditions, drainage patterns
  • Support for laboratory and factual reporting teams
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives on time and within budget. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and health & safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Ongoing Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Degree
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to operate handheld drilling equipment and work safely in active roadway construction sites
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
