About the Role
Position Description:
The practice is seeking a General Practitioner with an Occupational Health interest to join their team in their brand new, modern, fully equipped practice in Mackay. The Medical Practitioner will complete pre-employment medicals (including coal board medicals) and provide medical management for workplace injuries. You will have an opportunity to work closely with their specialists, including their CEO and plastic surgeon.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality occupational healthcare services to workers in keeping with best practice standards
Assess potential workers before they commence employment. (verify medical history, conduct basic examinations, risk assessment and recommendations to the employer regarding suitability for the proposed role)
Medically manage workplace injuries to ensure return-to-work-outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently.
