General Counsel

This is a 1099 independent contractor, remote position for a General Counsel (GC) supporting Diversity In Technology (DIT). DIT is seeking a legal professional who can serve as a compliance-focused GC, with primary responsibility for learning and applying U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) statutes and compliance requirements as they relate to workforce program eligibility, access, and funding.

The General Counsel will play a key role in helping DIT navigate the WIOA compliance landscape, including understanding how to identify potential violations, respond appropriately, and support formal complaint processes when required. A major duty of this role is assisting DIT with preparing and submitting Eligible Training Provider (ETP/ETPL) applications, including exemptions when available, and ensuring all submissions align with federal and state-level WIOA rules and standards.
