Job Title: Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer

Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality gas and heating maintenance services across council housing and corporate properties, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient repair, servicing, and installation of domestic gas systems under the direction of the Repairs Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out gas heating repairs, servicing, and installations in line with work orders
• Respond to emergency and reactive heating breakdowns across housing stock
• Complete planned maintenance, void property works, and safety inspections
• Install, test, and certify gas appliances in accordance with current regulations
• Complete all job records, certification, and reports using handheld/mobile systems
• Diagnose faults and determine appropriate remedial actions
• Manage and maintain van stock, tools, and equipment
