About the Role
Job Overview Arup is seeking a Fluids Analyst with a focus on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind engineering to join the Environmental and Building Physics team in Toronto. The role involves applying CFD, thermal modelling and climate assessment techniques to support design solutions for built environments.
Responsibilities
Use CFD and dynamic thermal modeling to solve client challenges.
Perform and report wind engineering studies for structural wind loads, pedestrian comfort, urban heat island and microclimate assessments.
Conduct studies on natural hazards and climate change impacts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and consultants on innovative projects.
Work under the supervision of a senior engineer on defined tasks.
Utilize skills in computational fluid dynamics, fluid mechanics, wind engineering, and building physics as appropriate.
