About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the successful candidate will develop and provide financial accounting, budgeting, and payment processing support for a newly established government entity from scratch. This is a pivotal role focused on establishing the foundational financial framework and ensuring robust reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Annual Reporting: Set up and support the entity’s first annual report, including financial statements, procurement activities, addressing audit queries, and preparing financial/non-financial notes.
  • Process Establishment: Set up and implement financial reporting processes for actuals and budgets, including monitoring variances and preparing ad-hoc reports for FOI and audits.
  • Compliance: Establish and prepare compliance returns (payroll tax, WorkCover, BAS) and ensure all processes align with Standing Directions and Asset Management requirements.
