Field Archaeologist (Field Based)

ERM is hiring Junior Field Archaeologists

Join our global consulting firm as part of our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Vancouver, Smithers, BC, or Whitehorse, YT. The successful candidate will work with our team to complete archaeological field surveys. This is a full-time, limited-term role for a duration of 9 months, renewable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field studies, lead field reconnaissance, field surveys, and excavation for archaeological studies.
• Visually inspect the land surface for presence of archaeological and historic built resources.
• Compliance with corporate Health and Safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Represent ERM through communications and at meetings with provincial/territorial and federal agencies.

Requirements

• A degree in Anthropology (with a focus in archaeology) or in Archaeology preferred.
