About the Role

The School of University Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Chemistry lab faculty assistant. The successful candidate will support student learning by assisting faculty and by setting up and taking down chemistry labs. This is an ongoing, full-time position at the Castlegar campus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the setting up, delivery, and taking down of labs with Chemistry faculty

Assist faculty during labs

Prepare demonstration and lab materials for lab instruction and experiments

Demonstrate and enforce safe lab practices and policies

Organize and maintain lab supplies, equipment, chemicals and safety data sheets

Coordinate with college staff the purchasing and receiving of supplies and equipment

Maintain an up-to-date account of expenditures on lab materials and equipment
