About the Role
• Responsible for controlling facility operations functions such as, maintenance of grounds, buildings and equipment, security, shipping/receiving, space-planning design, hazardous material handling and safety programs in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.
• Interacts with Facilities Managers at other UL locations to coordinate operations of each facility, maintain conformity between offices and provide service and support to smaller UL facilities located within the immediate geographical
region.
• Develops and manages operating, expense and capital budgets for the Department as well as the space budget for the entire operation of the facility. Operates within those budgets as directed by the Facilities Director or Site Manager. Explores space cost reduction measures to reduce facility operating expenses.
