About the Role

Layfield is looking to add an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator to our Manufacturing team at our Edmonton facility. As a key member of the Manufacturing team, this position is responsible for the set-up, operation, and control of the equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess a collaborative team mindset, exhibit strong mechanical aptitude, and a constant drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure materials are available prior to the start of production.

Ensure mixing equipment is ready with the appropriate recipe.

Set up machine parameters in accordance with the job to be produced.

Operate/monitor controls to regulate Temperature, Speed, Pressure and other operating conditions to match the product SOC (Standard Operating Conditions).

Perform adjustments to ensure Product Quality Specifications are met.
