About the Role
Seaspan Shipyards is looking for an experienced NDE Technician to join our team in Victoria. Perform essential Non-Destructive Examinations while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
This dynamic role involves executing daily inspections, engaging with shop personnel, and enhancing quality control protocols. Your skills in NDE will be critical in identifying non-conformities and developing effective corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed NDE of welds and parts daily
• Communicate results and compliance to supervisors
• Perform gap analyses to improve SOPs
• Work alongside trade supervisors for quality enhancement
• Coordinate with production and QC on NDT requests
Requirements:
• CGSB MT level 2 required
• 3+ years of experience as NDE Technician
• CWB CSA W178.2 or AWS CWI certification desired
• In-depth knowledge of quality procedures necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
