About the Role

The purpose of this program is to train Drivers with 2+ months tractor trailer driving experience to be a cross-border long haul driver. Training can include B.C. Mountains, Highway 17 in Ontario, U.S border crossings, and general highway driving.

This program requires a 2 year commitment to Cross-Border Driving with Bison. Candidates must hold a MELT Class 1/AZ license, be eligible to work in Canada and have the necessary documents to enter the U.S. If you are interested in a career as a long-haul Driver, please click this link to watch this video which describes the

  • Required to be on the road 5 to 10 days at a time
  • Required to be available for dispatch 24 days a month including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to drive Highway 17 in Ontario, 12 months a year
  • Required to sign a 2-year contract
