Responsibilities

• Conduct a general analysis of the plans and specifications to gain an overall understanding of the project.
• Prepare the estimate, including both direct and indirect project costs.
• Assist the planning team in building a preliminary work schedule, including the necessary site resources.
• Identify the specialties, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers that will contribute to the success of your estimate.
• Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring follow‑up to create a comprehensive bid comparison table.
• Compile the study in the estimating software, incorporating subcontracted tasks, self‑performed work, work teams, production rates and ratios, quantities to be completed, etc.
