Equipment Operator II - Transportation

Responsibilities

The Transportation Operator Level II is responsible for daily operations, maintenance and repairs of the City's infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks and drainage systems. The role may also provide support to water and wastewater operations.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 3‑5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as loaders, sweepers, tractors, skid steers, gravel trucks, garbage trucks, genie lifts/bucket trucks and backhoes
• Preferred: experience or training in grading
• Physical ability to perform demanding work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds or more as required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
