Job Description Summary
The purpose of the Engineering Lead is to support the Lab leadership and the teams within their area to deliver against the strategy and their delivery commitments. Colleagues in these roles must come from an Engineering background, and this position represents the conscious decision of an Engineer to progress down the management track of the Y-shaped model. This allows these colleagues to start building up the broader set of skills required to operate in a engineering management position, not all of which will be developed under the Software Engineer role.
