Overview

Amazon is hiring Building Technicians to support its data centers in Canada. The Building Operations Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure mission‑critical servers run with uptime better than 99.999%.
• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
• Serve as the front line respondent for electrical and mechanical issues affecting availability.
• Maintain equipment such as stand‑by diesel generators, fuel systems, switchboards, UPS, PDU, AHU, CRAHU, CRAC, pumps, motors, VFD, and building automation systems.
