Economic Development Officer

Temporary contract until December 31, 2026

Part-time, 3 days/week. Minimum one day per week in-person, located in the Town of Penetanguishene.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Manager of Economic Development, this position is responsible for facilitating, promoting and ensuring community and economic development in order to secure opportunities and facilitate processes for economic and business development and sustainability, and to increase business growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not listed in order of priority)

1. Responsible for building and developing relationships with various public and private sector representatives throughout the County of Simcoe and the province of Ontario.
