Job Description Job Description DESCRIPTION The Detention Equipment Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of a complete detention equipment system including glazing, doors, frames, hardware and detention furnishings. RESPONSIBILITIES * Constant and thorough communication with project management team and vendors * Anticipate issues in advance and problem solve in a timely manner to keep the project moving forward * Interpret architectural and engineering drawings with accuracy and translate design information into applied methods and materials in the field for successful completion of the project * Compile all required submittal documentation for submission to the project architect, consultant, or owner * Compile detailed design drawings to effectively communicate the design to internal and external members of the project team * Create and submit RFI's through the project management team to resolve inconsistencies in the contract documents or design intent * De...
