Summary of the role

As a member of the Andritz Hydro Mechanical Design Team Turbine, located in Pointe‑Claire, the selected candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of new and refurbished Francis, Kaplan and propeller turbine units.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hydraulic and mechanical design engineers, drafters and project teams to complete the turbine design to meet specification requirements while optimizing costs over the project cycle;
• Perform analytical design calculations (stresses and strains) and technical specifications, in accordance with internal design practices and industry requirements;
