The Role
Define detail design and negotiate requirements with other technical groups working on or interfacing with specific design. 
The individual’s accountabilities will include, though not be limited to, some or all of the following:
Produce design schemes for major assemblies from initial designs and feasibility studies that may be used by other for detail design.
Prepare designs for products /components in line with the quality control system.
Responsible for creation of manufacturing drawings and data that comply with specification and required standards.
Ensure designs are functional, fit for purpose and satisfy the relevant design criteria.
Perform relevant basic calculations in support of design objectives.
Ensure that design methods and design solutions used are cost effective and can be manufactured efficiently.
