The Opportunity An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Design Draftsman within a steel manufacturing / structural engineering environment based in Newcastle.
This contract role requires someone who can step in quickly, produce accurate structural and fabrication drawings, and operate confidently in a fast-paced steel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural steel, connections, and assemblies
- Develop fabrication-ready shop drawings and framing layouts
- Revise drawings in line with engineering updates and project changes
- Apply correct dimensions, tolerances, materials, and fabrication notes
