Declarant

The Customs Declarant is responsible for the accurate preparation, lodgment, and processing of customs import and export declarations in compliance with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations, tariff classifications, valuation rules, and applicable trade laws.

II. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Declaration & Documentation

• Prepare and lodge import and export declarations through the BOC electronic systems (e.g., e2m / CMS / related platforms)
• Ensure correctness of tariff classification (HS Code), customs value, duties, taxes, and applicable fees
• Review shipping and trade documents such as: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Air Waybill Import Permits / Clearances (e.g., FDA, DENR, DA, NTC, etc.)
• Encode and validate data to ensure consistency with supporting documents
