Database Administrator

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets-up and maintains all databases for Production (PRD), Disaster and Recovery (DR), Development (DEV), System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Environment.
• Evaluates Database Version Releases, its improvements and impact to the Database Administration, security and user experience.
• Reviews, assesses and recommends Backup and Restore procedures to improve its turn around time (TAT) to ensure its alignment with the bankwide business continuity recovery time objective (RTO) and/or guarantee better RTO
• Performs daily/weekly and monthly database monitoring for trending and prognosis.
• Performs the database capacity planning/sizing to create and maintain a database instance.
• Investigates and troubleshoots issues and/or observed database irregularities in a limited time frame; quick and precise.
