About the Role
Description
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join a mid-to-large enterprise environment supporting critical business systems. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role blends day-to-day operational support with project-based work:
+ Support urgent database requests and tickets (approximately 5% of time)
+ Lead and assist with upgrades, migrations, and project work (about 50%)
+ Perform monitoring, health checks, and automation oversight (about 45%)
+ Review backup reports and troubleshoot backup or job failures
+ Support enterprise backup and disaster recovery processes
+ Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams across on-prem and cloud environments
