Data engineer (python) - remote (Polanco)

This role is for a senior person who builds reliable systems that collect, clean, store and deliver company data so dashboards and reporting work properly — and they lead others while doing it.

About the Role

Work closely with the Senior Data Engineering Manager and Enterprise Data Architect to turn target‑state architecture into production implementations, acting as a technical authority and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Scalable batch + real‑time ingestion from ERP/Saa S/internal databases, with a strong emphasis on building a reliable “single version of truth” (not just hitting deadlines).
• Implement solutions in Snowflake, build integrations using tools like Boomi/Talend (or equivalent) while standardising patterns across the team.
• Ensure data lineage/transformation transparency, monitoring/anomaly detection, root‑cause resolution, and strong documentation of rules/mappings (quality, governance, and standards are central).
