Data Engineer

About This Job

Role Purpose: Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and models (SQL Server/SSIS/DBT/Python/Fivetran) and contribute to DataOps, testing, and deployment automation so each work item reaches 'Ready for QA' with high first‑pass quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT components and DBT models following standards and peer review.
• Instrument pipelines with validations and basic observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
• Write unit/integration tests; package and deploy via CI/CD; contribute to documentation and runbooks.
• Support BA in mapping source→target and implementing acceptance criteria; collaborate with Scrum Master on sprint commitments.
• Assist in defect triage and timely remediation within sprint.

Outcomes & KPIs

• Consistent delivery to DoD with improving First‑Pass Quality.
• Adherence to data quality checks; on‑time pipeline runs against schedule.
