About the Role
British American Tobacco Mexico is seeking a Data Engineer (Databricks / Pyspark) in Monterrey, belonging to the DBS function.
This role supports the US team with data integration, architecture, and process optimization tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Databricks and PySpark, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Develop cloud-based enterprise solutions in PySpark, SQL, and related frameworks.
- Understand Data Architecture concepts.
- Analyze and optimize processing performance.
- Apply standard methodologies in Design & Analysis, Automation, Testing, Monitoring, and Documentation.
- Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Assist the project manager with work plans, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering.
