About the Role
Job Summary
The Data Center Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting on-premises data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and power/cooling systems. The role ensures high availability, reliability, and performance through deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and incident support, while assisting with infrastructure upgrades and capacity improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related technical field
- 2–5 years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support
- Knowledge of servers, storage, networking, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, and structured cabling
- Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work on-site, in shifts, and under pressure
Preferred certifications: CDCP, CompTIA Server+, CCNA, ITIL Foundation
