Customs Classification Specialist

• Responsible for accurately classifying goods under the Harmonized System (HS) or other tariff classification systems to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Analyze product specifications, review legal and trade requirements, and assign the correct tariff codes to determine duties and taxes.
• Compile and classify goods in accordance with the Australian Customs Tariff and relevant import regulations.
• Demonstrate proven experience in tariff classification for Australian importers.
• Vet and review import documentation to ensure compliance with Australian border and customs regulations.
• Verify the accuracy of key import documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with Australian customs requirements and internal company compliance standards.
