Ct Technologist

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Radiologist, the technologist is responsible for choosing proper scan protocols for the ordered examination, operating the CT equipment with minimal radiation exposure to the patient, evaluating patient chart for possible allergies or contradictions to IV contrast prior to administration, assisting the Radiologist in invasive procedures, properly sending all examinations to the PACs in a timely fashion for the Radiologist to interpret, maintaining supplies and emergency equipment for the department, performing jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, employing all mandatory safety devices and procedures, and participating in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include wearing a respirator.
