Job Description

Our client is a family owned distribution business with close to 100 years of history behind them! Due to a retirement they are seeking a hands on Controller to act as the right hand to the CFO. The company prides itself on having a number of long‑term employees who feel a part of the family.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closings including accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Prepare management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and bankers.
• Oversee all AP processing including approvals, coding, and payment runs.

Qualifications

• Ideally you have at least 10+ years experience at the Controller level with a business that involves inventory.
