Commodity Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the assigned commodity
• Closely following assigned commodity supply market activities and price trends and take necessary action
• Identifying, qualifying and selecting global suppliers with a team of buyers, supply chain specialists and supplier development engineers (SDE)
• To develop alternative suppliers within commodity to leverage on value and drive suppliers to improve cost
• Work with SDE to identify and develop new suppliers for cost reduction
• Responsible in leading and conducting global supplier negotiation of price, terms and services
• Management of contracts and agreement with suppliers
• Responsible for reviewing and negotiating on VDP Agreements with key suppliers
• Monitor & track PCN
• Be proactive in managing supplier capacity to match demand of all manufacturing sites
