Description
1.Proactively manage the procurement of materials from a global supply base. These materials are distributed to various locations to support the worldwide requirements. The primary responsibility of this position is managing the assurance of supply of these materials. Accountability is from product introduction through product obsolescence.
2.Assure the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
3.Coordinate material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establish and manage supplier relationships including prices, monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans.
