Commercial Property Underwriter

Description

 Our client is growing, and they’re looking for a Commercial Lines Property Underwriter to join the team based out of their Edmonton office.

What you’ll be doing:
? Underwriting new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
? Assessing risk acceptability, coverage terms, and pricing
? Placing facultative reinsurance when risks exceed capacity
? Providing underwriting guidance and support to brokers
? Partnering with claims, personal lines, and accounting teams
? Building broker relationships through visits, industry events, and collaboration

What you’ll bring:
• 3+ years of commercial property & casualty underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge of policy wordings and rating guidelines
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• CIP/FCIP designation (or working toward) is an asset
