Join the Base Ads/Spindl team at Coinbase to help build the first natively onchain advertising ecosystem. As the first Machine Learning Engineer on the team, you’ll lead the development of ranking systems and infrastructure from the ground up, contributing to a transparent, open ad protocol called Flywheel . This is a high-impact, early-stage opportunity with broad ownership and visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy ML models in production for feed ranking, recommendations, targeting, fraud detection, and analytics.
Leverage advanced ML techniques including deep learning, LLMs, and graph neural networks .
Collaborate cross-functionally on feature engineering, model integration, and backend systems.
Build onboarding tools and infrastructure to scale ML capabilities across Base.
Work with large-scale data pipelines and support ML development using industry-standard tools.
