Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
  • Program CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc) using CAM software and machine control interfaces.
  • Set up machines by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
  • Operate CNC machines to manufacture components to precise dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Verify conformance of parts to specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in safe working condition.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical or process issues.
