About the Role

Responsibilities:
Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.

Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges.

Must have own tools, Micrometer up to 3”, Interapid indicator, dial indicator, 6” Vernier, Telescope gages, adjustable wrench, Allen wrench set Metric/standard, machinist Stone, indicating chair, edge finder.

Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.

Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.

Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.
