Clinical Educator

OVERVIEW

The Critical Care/Cardiology educator is responsible for ensuring that patient care and services are delivered in accordance with the Hospital’s vision and strategic goals and quality outcomes. The educator will focus on training and supporting the critical care level three and level two training and upskilling nurses within the domain of critical care and cardiology. The Educator advances professional practice and clinical care excellence through the design and implementation of educational programs and clinical processes that enable staff to deliver safe, excellent patient and family centered care. The role assures the development and maintenance of clinical competency through the identification of learning and practice development needs for cardiology and critical care RNs. In collaboration with the most responsible manager the educator is responsible for the clinical evaluation of newly trained staff. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
