Class 1 Night Driver

We are seeking to recruit a HGV Class 1 Night Driver to safely and efficiently manage the movement of trailers and vehicles within the yard, ensuring timely positioning to support operational requirements, loading schedules, and customer service delivery. Salary: £40,800 per annum Shift: Night shift 4 on 4 off so some weekend will be required. Key Responsibilities: Carry out shunting of trailers between parking areas, loading bays, and operational zones Ensure all trailer movements are completed in line with site plans and loading schedules Position trailers accurately and safely onto loading bays Liaise with warehouse and transport teams to ensure priorities are met Operate all vehicles in full compliance with road transport and internal safety policies Conduct daily vehicle checks (pre-use and defect reporting) Ensure coupling and uncoupling procedures are carried out s...
