Chief Engineer / Engineer

Make your mark as a Chief Engineer or Engineer at Boskalis! The Engineers oversee the maintenance and repairs of all machinery and electrical equipment (deck and engine) onboard the vessel.

Main Tasks:

• Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary and deck machinery, electrical appliances, air conditioning, domestic installations, fittings and structures, RIB & deck crane.
• Consult at least daily with the Master to achieve the maximum economy consistent with the minimum efficiency required.  Keeping the Master fully informed of any occurrences in the engine room or deck equipment which might affect navigation or the essential services under their control.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Oil and Environmental Pollution Prevention Legislation and to ensure that all responsible crew are familiar with Emergency Procedures, Contingency Plans and capable of operating a...
