About the service:
Safe Space is a fantastic program that provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing psychological distress, allowing them to:
- Identify alternatives to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals
- Access support from trained mental health professionals within their community, outside a clinical setting.
- Providing after-hours support (5-9pm M-F, 10am-2pm weekends/public holidays) for people in the community experiencing distress
