About the Role

As a biologist at ACA, you will study wildlife, fish, and plants in Alberta, develop strategies to support their populations, and conduct field and lab work such as checking trail cams for wildlife, measuring oxygen levels in lakes, securing habitats, and documenting key species like Alberta’s first yellow‑bellied racer hibernaculum.

Responsibilities

  • Study wildlife, fish, and plant populations and their ecological dynamics.
  • Use trail cams to monitor wildlife such as wolverines and grizzly bears.
  • Measure environmental parameters, including oxygen levels in lakes.
  • Identify and secure significant habitat areas.
  • Document and report findings on species of interest.
