Battery Chief Engineer

The Battery Chief Engineer (CE) is the owner for their assigned battery programs. In general, the CE is responsible for defining, communicating, approving, and tracking adherence to battery and battery system level functional objectives, requirements, and technical deliverables per required timing. This role is also the battery team's primary technical interface to various functional groups including Vehicle & Powertrain Integration, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Electrical Eng Core, Electrification Powertrain team, Controls, Calibration, Quality, and EE Systems. The CE addresses and presents battery technical items for reviews in high level meetings as needed. The CE owns the approval of the battery/battery system technical requirements document, system testing and validation testing while leading cross‑functional teams and battery technical experts.
