Backend Engineer

What You Will Be Doing

• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services that interact with SQL Server.
• Design and run batch processing workflows for syncing/updating large sets of records.
• Ensure processing is reliable at scale (incremental runs, safe reprocessing, handling partial failures, concurrency).
• Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across API batch job database, improving performance and stability.

What You Will Likely Bring

• Hands‑on experience building APIs (auth, error handling, JSON).
• Experience with batch jobs / background processing (scheduled runs, retries, handling failures).
• Strong SQL fundamentals (writing queries, understanding stored procedures, performance awareness).

What Could Set You Apart

• Professional experience in DevOps, or automation‑focused roles.
• Azure SQL.
