About the Role
- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and z/OS tools
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle — design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mainframe application issues
- Collaborate with architects and business analysts to deliver technical solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to J&M standards
- Support performance tuning and optimization of mainframe workloads
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on IBM Mainframe development experience
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and/or DB2
- Experience with z/OS operating environment and IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within Agile/hybrid delivery teams
- Experience with mainframe DevOps tools (e.g., Endevor, ChangeMan, Zowe) is a plus
