Azure Cloud Cost Optimization Analyst

Role: Azure FinOps Lead – Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement Azure FinOps strategy aligned with business and financial goals
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize Azure cloud spend
• Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost models
• Implement cost governance policies, tagging standards, and chargeback/show back models
• Track cost anomalies, variances, and savings opportunities
• Drive cost optimization initiatives (RI, Savings Plans, right-sizing, auto-scaling, storage optimization)
• Create and maintain cost dashboards and executive reports
• Partner with engineering, finance, procurement, and leadership teams
• Ensure financial accountability and transparency across business units
• Manage vendor licensing, EA/CSP billing, and contracts optimization
• Establish FinOps best practices, frameworks, and operating models
